Why I built this.

I spent over ten years running people functions inside large South African corporates. Big teams, big budgets, and a machine behind me: payroll, legal, reward, talent, all specialists, all on tap.

Then I started spending time with owner-led businesses, and the contrast was hard to watch. The same laws apply. The same disputes arrive. The same people decisions decide whether the business grows or stalls. But the owner is doing all of it personally, at 22:00, from a template someone emailed them in 2019, with a lawyer called in after the damage is done.

The classic HR department is designed for a world that no longer exists — a world where administration justified a team, and where growth simply meant more people. Owner-led businesses deserve better than a template and a lawyer after the fact. They deserve the machine I had, sized for them, priced so that hiring never punishes them, and backed by money rather than promises.
